How to sign into ArcGIS Pro
This article guides you through the steps to obtain a license for ArcGIS Pro.
Prerequisites:
- You’ve already logged into the computer.
- ArcGIS Pro is already installed on the computer. Learn how to install ArcGIS Pro »
- You are a fully registered student or employee.
- Note: Students who are not fully registered will see an error when trying to sign into ArcGIS Pro, and will not be able to run the software. Log into CalCentral to view your registration status and consult your advisor for guidance on how to resolve any registration issues.
On Non-CED / Personal Computers
- Launch ArcGIS Pro.
- After a few moments, you should see a "Sign In" window. Click on the area labeled “Your ArcGIS organization’s URL”.
- In the URL area, type "cal" in the box so that the URL reads cal.maps.arcgis.com, then click the "Continue" button. Tip: Click the "Remember this URL" box so you won't have to reenter this the next time you log into the same computer.
- Next, you'll be prompted to log into "UCBerkeley CalNet." Click on the button and sign in with your CalNet ID and passphrase. You will also be asked for two-factor authentication.
- After authenticating, ArcGIS will be licensed and ready for use.
On CED Lab / Studio Computers
- Launch ArcGIS Pro
- After a few moments, you should see a "Sign In" window. Click on the button labeled “UCBerkeley CalNet”.
- Sign in with your CalNet ID and passphrase. You will also be asked for two-factor authentication.
- After authenticating, ArcGIS will open and be licensed for use.
